FTA's team of qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers (DGSAs) provide practical, independent and expert advice and can help newly qualified DGSAs to implement, audit and report procedures in their own companies.

The health check dangerous goods regulatory compliance audit is for companies unsure about the application of the dangerous goods rules to their operations and for those wishing to ‘spot check' their procedures. It offers a comprehensive audit and written report to establish the impact of the regulations and compliance actions. To identify ‘in scope' products and loads our qualified DGSA undertakes site visits. The audit process covers:

• classification, packaging, marking and labelling
• segregation and storage
• handling and loading/unloading
• documentation and emergency information
• vehicles, equipment and placarding
• training and emergency procedures
• sub-contractors

Individual Coaching for Qualified DGSA's

Once qualified, DGSA's must become proficient in auditing and reporting dangerous goods compliance. Qualifying as a DGSA is only the first step towards professional competence!

This one day, one-to-one coaching session, is performed at the DGSA's own company site. Step by step, the DGSA is taken through 'live' audit of the company's dangerous goods activities and compliance systems.
