Utilities and Civil Engineering Transport Conference from FTA

FTA's Essential Services Working Group and Utilities Transport Association are coming together to hold an industry conference at Stratford Upon Avon on 4 June. The event is targeted to manage risk and identify best practice, duty of care, and general compliance on environment and transport for utilities and their contactors. Between them the two groups operate a diverse cross-section of vehicles, with a combined fleet strength of over half a million.

Chaired by Colin Sowman, the editor of Plant Managers Journal, the event will feature presentations relating to occupational road risk - insurance and accident investigations; transport law - vehicles, drivers, operator licensing, digital tachographs, Driver CPC; the safe loading of vans; corporate manslaughter; and environmental issues. VOSA will present on the recently signed Memorandum of Agreement and Service Level Agreements with industry and discuss how VOSA will implement these pledges into a closer working relationship with the utility and civil engineering sector.
