Trade Routes

Investment priorities for the road network in Scotland

The most congested parts of the network, carrying most of the country’s trade and most urgently in need of repair.

FTA is calling on the Government to accelerate upgrading and expansion of the Trade Routes in its Fifteen Year Transport Delivery report.

The Trade Routes on the road network are:

M74 Glasgow to Rutherglen

A77 Kilmarnock to Stranraer

A75 Gretna to Stranraer

A80 Haggs to Stepps

A8 Bargeddie to M8 Junction 6

A9 Perth to Inverness

A96 Inverness to Aberdeen

Western Peripheral Route Bypass Running from north to the south of Aberdeen City

A82 Glasgow to Inverness

A977 Kincardine to Kinross

A7 Edinburgh to Gretna (previously Galashields)

A8000 Edinburgh
